We have a new website for Crayon Physics Deluxe at www.crayonphysics.com. There’s not much there yet, but hopefully there will be soon 😉
www.crayonphysics.com
I’ve also setup the pre-orders for Crayon Physics Deluxe. You can pre-order the game from PayPal now. (You don’t have to have a PayPal account, just click the continue located on top of the credit card row).
Pre-order bonuses
- Save 5$. The prize of the finished game is going to be 20$, but if you pre-order during November you’ll get the game for 14.95$.
- Get a change to participate in the Crayon Physics Deluxe beta. Everyone
who pre-orders the game will be able to play the beta version of the
game once it’s released.
The way this works is after your transaction has been processed by PayPal you’ll receive a confirmation email from Kloonigames with a super secret key. Once the game is ready to be beta tested, you’ll get another email with a download link to the game. (And I’ll also email you once the game is finished so you can download the full version as well).
There won’t be any kind of DRM, because I’ve found that it only hurts the real customers (e.g. I’m an owner of Space Rangers 2, which I can’t play because the DRM is incompatible with my computer). And no DRM will stop people from pirating your game.
If you have any questions you can email support@crayonphysics.com or write a comment.

This is a bit of a status update about me as well. I’ve hesitated about writing update reports, mostly because if I write something then it will be set in stone. And also you guys tend to go berserk in the comments section each time I write about the game 🙂
So I’ve been working on Crayon Physics Deluxe full time for about a year and a half now. It’s a small miracle that I’ve been able to pay my rent on time, without having a real income. The game itself has made some really good progress and it’s never been as close to being finished as it is now 😉 But there’s still stuff to be done and graphics to be tightened up. And in regards to that, here’s the official release date: When it’s done!
Sorry about the big font.
I’d love to see the game released during this year and I’ve been working hard to make that happen. Wish me best of luck and bug free code.
The game will be released as a downloadable PC game and the full version of the game is going to cost the standard 20$. There’s going to be a free demo that you can try out. And the game is going to be released on this site. (There might be some other distribution channels as well, but I can’t talk about them now). I can’t promise Mac or Linux ports, but I’ll try to do my best to bring the game to those platforms as well.
Also concerning all the other platforms: I can’t promise anything. We will see what the future brings.
I’ll try to setup a FAQ so post your questions in the comments and I’ll try to answer them to the best of my abilities.

This is the last game of Season 2 of Kloonigames. The whole season -thing is more a self proclaimed deadline and/or motivational tool than anything real. It’s very much like prisoners counting days left in prison. But I promised myself back in November 2007 that I’d do at least 12 new monthly games and I’ve more or less accomplished that. Season 2 has had its ups and downs and the whole thing was a bit more painful than Season 1, because this whole time I’ve been also working on Crayon Physics Deluxe.
So this all means there won’t be any more monthly games for a while. I’m going to finish Crayon Physics Deluxe and after that I’ll decide if I’m going to start another season of Kloonigames.
Anyway here’s the game. The game was made back in 2006 and I’ve been keeping it as a backup if I ever for what ever reason won’t be able to do a game that month.

Great news. World of Goo is to be released on October 13th on WiiWare and PC. I’ve been waiting to play the full version of World of Goo like forever. Now I know how some of you feel about Crayon Physics Deluxe…
In case you’re wondering what World of Goo is, click this link and watch the trailer and be amazed. It’s hard for me to put into words how much I admire what Kyle and Ron have done, so I’m going to borrow a quote from the Eurogamer review:
If there’s any justice, World of Goo will set the internet aflame and earn its creators a million dollars. The members of 2D Boy should be carried around in chariots while this glory lasts – because at some point, they’re going to realise what a murderously high standard they’ve set for themselves, and run away forever.

I’m using the “GET OUT OF MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES, FREE” -card.
The reason is I’ve been working hard on getting Crayon Physics Deluxe done (that’s also the excuse for my the lack of posts, not doing the dishes and for pretty much anything that needs explaining). But I’ll promise to post more about Crayon Physics Deluxe soon. Unless I’m working so hard on it that I’ll forget to post about it.
I’ll also try to come up with a game for the Gamma 3D (the deadline is 15th of October), but things are pretty hectic now here at the Kloonigames offices (read my apartment), so I don’t know. We’ll see.
